Tafelspitz – Signature Dish
Tafelspitz is one of the most iconic dishes of Viennese cuisine It is connected with the tradition of Austria-Hungary. The favourite dish of Emperor Franz Joseph I is still a symbol of simplicity based on the quality of ingredients, time and precise preparation.
The base is beef eye round, slowly braised in a rich broth, which makes the meat exceptionally tender and juicy.
Traditionally served as a ritual – with broth, apple horseradish, chive sauce, and potatoes.
